Art Renting

Live with the work before you own it. Rent a Von Cleef edition for your office, practice or hotel for a fixed term. Pay a monthly fee instead of a purchase price. At the end, keep it or let it go.

Why rent

A photograph changes a room, and a room changes how people feel in it. Most companies never hang the work they would like to, because art is bought with money that has already been taxed. Renting turns the same work into a monthly cost for the space you work in: deductible, spread over time, with the option to own it later at a price agreed today.

How it works

1. Choose. Pick a work from SALT or DEAR MOTEL, in the size and finish you want. We confirm the edition and the price it would sell for.
2. Rent. Sign a 24, 36 or 48 month agreement. We deliver and hang the work. You receive one invoice a month, VAT included and reclaimable.
3. Decide. At the end of the term: buy the work at the residual value fixed in your contract, or return it. Nothing is owed beyond the last month.

The fine print, short

Renting is available for works from EUR 1,500. The work stays the property of Von Cleef until you choose to buy it. You insure it for its full value; we handle delivery, hanging and collection within Belgium. Rent is invoiced at 21% VAT and is a deductible business expense for a professional space; a purchased artwork is not. Your accountant will confirm what this means for your company.

Questions

Can I rent as a private person?
The agreement is designed for companies and self-employed professionals; private rentals are possible, without the tax advantage.

What if I want to buy earlier?
You can, at any time: the residual value plus the remaining balance on your schedule.

Who owns the copyright?
Von Cleef, always. You own the print once you buy it.
